The first meeting of the year gave us the amazing opportunity to cover topics such
as ethics, bullying and self-empowerment.
Let’s talk ethics: Are students who stutter getting the proper attention they need from educators? Why aren’t children getting the proper education on their speech? Without proper education and making them self aware it can result in being the target of bullying. Bullying: Have you ever been bullied for stuttering? How have you overcome being bullied as a child or maybe even an adult? How did these experiences shape who you are today? Did they empower you to join the NSA? Self Empowerment: Don’t let stuttering define who you are. You are not alone.
