Last night the Dallas Chapter had the honor of hosting dinner for the Board of Directors of the National Stuttering Association, who were in town for their “Winter Board Meeting”.
As a setting, we had the beautiful restaurant “Stirr”, in Deep Ellum. We sat down to enjoy some delicious food in company of friends from all over the country– actually from many countries!– and talked about stuttering, friendships, and goals for this year.
We had delicious menu options, but the main entreé of the night was the feeling of camaraderie that only a group like the NSA can create. It was a great way to start a year that will be incredibly special for our chapter and the national stuttering community as a whole.
But enough about words, want to see some photos?
As the night was ending, the words “we’ll see you in a few months!” were repeated by many. July can’t come soon enough! If last night was any indication, this year’s conference is going to be spectacular, and the effort that all these people are putting behind the scenes is inspiring.
In the meantime, don’t forget that on January 31st we are having our first meeting of the year, look out for details in the coming weeks!
Also, don’t forget to like us on Facebook to be updated about upcoming events. See you soon!
