Last night the Dallas Chapter of the NSA held it’s May Chat and Chew: Karaoke Edition, and here’s a quick recap of that happened.

We met at Dalat Vietnamese Restaurant & Bar, a very cool and fun place in East Dallas that is known for their pho, creative drinks, and karaoke. With 14 people in attendance that included a good amount of outside friends also, we were guaranteed to have a great time.

While DJ Bdash set the stage for our karaoke stars, we warmed the vocal cords with some delicious food that included Dalat rolls (egg roll inside a spring roll, what?!), Pho and flan, and of course some drinks and the occasional shot, also known as “liquid courage”.

Brave Sarah Stevenson was first to sing, and kickstarted the party with Miley Cirus’ “Party in the U.S.A.”. As usual, the variety of our chapter shone bright, and we were treated to songs that ranged from Selena and Coldplay to Aretha Franklin and The Spice Girls.Almost everybody sang a song and we have to give a special mention to Russ who shocked us with a spot-on rendition of 50 Cent… just kidding, he did “New York, New York” from Frank Sinatra, and it was really good!

The party went on until after midnight and while this was the first time we have done karaoke as a group, we can be sure it’s not going to be the last, we had a blast!

We can’t thank you enough for coming out last night, and if you didn’t- you know we missed you!

Keep an eye out for details about our next meeting, and have a great weekend!
