Yesterday, the Dallas Chapter of the National Stuttering Association held it’s August Chat n’ Chew and here’s a quick recap of what happened.

With 9 1/2 people in attendance (thanks for joining us, little Owen!), we met at White Rock Lake for a delicious picnic under the beautiful Dallas sky. The weather was warm and sunny, and with a menu that included Caesar Salad, turkey & ham sandwiches, Stachia Hicks’ “Million Dollar Spaghetti”, Josh’s “special cookies” (not THAT kind of special), and enough chips to survive the zombie apocalypse, (courtesy of JP), we couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

We talked about trips to Japan to find a potential wife (we won’t mention names), discussed our music genre preferences, and talked about the upcoming solar eclipse– an event that surprisingly some of us were completely unaware of (again, no names will be mentioned!).

After a delicious meal and plenty of laughs, a few of us went to the lake for an exciting and slightly exhausting kayak adventure.

Thank you to everyone that attended, either in person or in spirit, and we will see you next week for our monthly meeting (and it’ll be a good one!).

See you there,

Dallas NSA
