The Duluth Minnesota Chapter of the National Stuttering Association met on Wednesday, November 18th. We tied in with a guest from the St. Cloud area via video chat.  The guest gave a us an insightful history of stuttering in his life, including some of the challenges that he has faced and personal development that he has gained.  He also informed us of an online group that he attends, called Stuttering Social, which meets virtually a couple times a week. See http://www.stuttersocial.com/ for more information.

Many interesting group discussions followed. This included talking about various factors that can affect the day-to-day fluency of stutterers, such as environment, listener reactions, confidence, anxiety, and stress.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, December 16th.  The group is considering having a social gathering at a location to be determined.  Stay tuned to our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/NSAduluth) for more information. Any questions about any of our group activities can be emailed to duluthstutters@gmail.com
