We had a nice Friends and Family Meeting at the Bakehouse in Kingston, PA this afternoon. We caught up, talked about summer plans, and discussed the job market. One member filled us in on his college hunt. In late August/early September, our chapter will be gaining a new member! (One of our longtime attendees is expecting a baby girl!!). Another member’s mother expressed concern that if her child who stutters was to ever be pulled over by the police, that the officer would get the wrong impression of her child because of their stuttering. A good solution to this potential issue is to carry a stuttering wallet card. These can be printed, laminated, and put in a wallet and used to educate others, especially if you are having a bad speech day.
