Great small group this week with two friends from the summer group and their moms!
The girls generated ideas for the NSA group to promote awareness:
- “NSA” world tour: Traveling to different places downtown, practicing tx techniques/ fake stutters, and telling store workers about the group
- NSAKids penpals: Writing to children in different NSAkids groups across the country
- NSAKids bake sale: Having a bake sale to increase stuttering/ NSA awareness and to raise money to “come up with new speech strategies” (NSA/ Research)
- Get T-shirts for the group: Possibly buying and decorating shirts
- Come up with a “sign” for the group. One example: Girl Scouts hold up three fingers.
