Interested in attending a meeting?

The National Stuttering Association’s motto, “If You Stutter, You Are Not Alone,” is what the NSA local support groups are all about! For many, NSA chapter meetings are the first time they have ever talked about stuttering with other people who stutter. We are here to help you build self-confidence, practice speaking in a safe environment, and explore new ways to cope with stuttering. We are here for you!

Our location

Meetings are held at Bavaro Hall (Room 104; one level above UVA’s Sheila C. Johnson Center) – 417 Emmet Street South, Charlottesville, VA 22904. Parking passes for the parking garage across the street (underneath the UVA Bookstore) available at the meeting.  For more information or to secure your parking pass, contact Chapter Leader Amber Handon at amber.handon@charlottesvilleschools.org.
