Last night, Tuesday the 29th, the Dallas chapter of the NSA held it’s monthly meeting, and here is a quick recap of what happened.

There was food everywhere! We had muffins, cookies, chips, some green raisins, all because it was our “Friends and family Edition” meeting. We had 33 people in the room and at some point we talked about vacuums, but first, we went around the room introducing ourselves.

There was Marcus’ very international family, Jacob’s mom and dad (one of them fixed a vacuum the week before, the other one is a newly elected council woman, can you guess which one is which?), Paige’s mom, Russ’ friend, Bruce the pastor… oh, we had such a big group!

A couple quick announcements: as many of you know, in December we usually don’t have a meeting because the end of the month is very busy for everybody, so instead we are going to have a Christmas party. If you haven’t RSVP’d, hurry up and do so. We also mentioned the video that some of the members of our chapter recorded last week, the mannequin challenge! Watch it here!

With Thanksgiving passing just a few days ago, this month it felt appropriate to talk about things we were thankful for. Spending time with family, having friends, sport teams, days off, landing a new job, the reasons to be thankful are endless, and as we learned from some of the stories in the room, even challenges can be seen as something positive if you approach them with a thankful attitude. Being grateful is good all around!

So we thank you,

Dallas NSA
