The Palm Beach Chapter of the NSA TWST met on June 3 from 5 until 6 p.m. Our meeting was attended by two undergraduate students in speech pathology and one of our TWST volunteers (a teen who does not stutter). Thanks to the chaotic schedules brought by the last week of school forour other teen members they were only with us in spirit – from places like graduation ceremonies, Universal Studios in Orlando; the Keys; or taking final exams…cannot imagine why they would choose to have THOSE experience over TWST.

The BEST part about our meeting was listening to our non-stuttering teen volunteer share what he has learned about stuttering over the past year. First comment from him was “Stuttering is not about breathing”. Congratulations to Steven – he has been paying attention! And Congratulations to the Teens who DO stutter – because their message has been received.

We will look forward to gathering the entire gang at our July 1 meeting. See you there.
