The Duluth Minnesota Chapter of the National Stuttering Association met for two hours on Wednesday, September 21st. This was our first meeting of the school year.  We will be meeting on the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30-7:30pm. The meetings are free and open to the public.
We started off the meeting with group introductions and a brief history of our stuttering or interest in the topic of stuttering.  We talked about the history and purpose of the group. We then discussed what format we would like the group to take on this year and how we can reach new members.  We are putting fliers at various spots around town and using social media outlets to help with the advertisements.
We then went through a link that had recently been shared on our Facebook page titled “25 Things I Wish I Had Known About Stuttering When I was 20”.  We talked about various items in this list and our experiences or interpretations associated with them.
