The Duluth Minnesota Chapter of the National Stuttering Association met on Wednesday, March 21st. We covered some interesting topics, including how emotions can affect stuttering positively and negatively.

We watched an excellent student short film on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmjwdaOQe5g). It’s about a boy who stutters, some of the trails that he goes through at school, and his motivation to work on his speech and acceptance of it. After watching the film, we discussed some of the situations that the boy went through and emotions that were felt. This led to some interesting discussions about stuttering in our own lives. Definitely worth a watch if you have 7 minutes to spare 🙂

Our next meeting is Wednesday, April 18th at 5:30pm. Please see our Facebook page for more information – https://www.facebook.com/NSAduluth/
