February 2017 Recap

It was great to see everyone at the meeting last week. Given that it was the 15th of February, we talked about relationships – and not just romantic ones! We started out by discuss which of the 5 “languages of love” we use in our interactions with loved ones. This led to us discussing how we communicate with those close to us. Then, we read some excerpts on the difficulty of forming relationships as a person who stutters from an internet forum. Relations from friends to spouses to children were covered in our discussion. We also watched a clip of Annie and John Glenn talking about how stuttering affected their relationship. Finally, we were given some updates on upcoming events, such as the Bowlathon in April and MSHA conference volunteering in March.
