Hello all! At our meeting tonight we were pleased to welcome two new members to our group. These new members are both first year undergraduate SLP students who share a particular interest in stuttering. Our meeting began with the reading of the opening words and introductions. We then discussed recent headlines in the news that stuttering has made. America’s Got Talent contestant Drew Lynch was brought up as being an inspirational figure in the stuttering community today. Dating back a few years, another member mentioned the movie The King’s Speech as bringing positive attention o stuttering around the world. The co-chapter leaders proceeded to share some educational facts about stuttering with the new members that they did not previously know. We wish to thank those of you who attended for making tonight’s meeting fun, inspirational, and educational.
